Every Swiss Soldier who was on active duty at christmas 1944 was issued a silver commemorative spoon.
This rare commemorative spoon with a three-dimensional image of the Swiss coat of arms and a pine branch on the front and the inscription "Soldiers Christmas / Noel du Soldat / Natale del Soldato / 1944" on the back, comes from the Jezler company, based at Schaffhausen, Canton Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The spoon weights 23 Gramm, is 15cm long and was made out of 800 silver.
