Description
Offered for your consideration is a vintage World War II era American Women's Voluntary Services pin.  The organization was the largest American women's service organization during WWII, and was formed in 1940.  It provided support services during the war including ambulance driving, delivering messages, and selling war bonds.  Created in sterling, the pin is in very good 'as found' condition.  The top of the pin features an American Eagle, with spread wings and lettering crafted in red, white and blue enamel.  The pin measures 1 3/16" x 3/4" and has a weight of about 6.5 grams.  The safety clasp on the back of the pin still opens and closes smoothly and securely.  This item will ship at a flat rate of .95 via USPS First Class Mail.  A lovely piece for the collector.  Auctions can be combined to save on shipping.
