Vintage Sheaffer's Fountain Ink Pen & Pencil Set with Case 1930's 1940's ??

Here is a vintage fountain pen and pencil set from Sheaffers's.  The set was my grandmothers.  the fountain pen is engraved with her name but her first name was spelt wrong so I don't think she used it much.  The last name on the pen is her maiden name.  I know she was married in the mid 1940's but can't find the exact date.  I thought I had heard that this pen set was a graduation gift....as she was born in 1921 she would have graduated in 1939?? ....but for sure the pen is from late 1930's or early 1940's.  The pencil is not engraved.  Nice vintage set with no major issues that I can see....but I am sure it is not perfect as it is vintage.  The pen tip is marked with the name Shaeffer's and the number 3 as well as "made in the USA".
All items come from a smoke free home.
This is not a business, we are just 2 people with full time jobs who enjoy a hobby selling items we have picked up at rummage sales, estate sales, etc.  I enjoy finding vintage items but with 4 kids don't have room for collections, so I love to pass these items on to homes where they will be treasured.  We are not experts and descriptive words such as "excellent condition and minor wear" are just an opinion.  I will always be honest and list all flaws that I notice but, again, I am not an expert so please ask questions or ask for extra pictures before buying.  If there is a problem, please contact me first and we will try to work out any issues.  Thanks for your purchase!!!  :)
