* Vintage- FOUR (4) Diff - Advertising MATCHBOOK COVERS - RHODE ISLAND - 1940's+
----- Up for BID/SALE is this "LOT" of FOUR (4) Different VINTAGE "MATCHBOOK COVERS" from "RHODE ISLAND" -- MOST advertising as shown -- I do NOT collect matchbooks but I sure know that "some" matchbooks are EXTREMELY collectable and may be quite valuable and rare so LOOK at the pictures!! -- ABOUT the Matchbook covers: I purchased these at a recent Estate Sale and the lady said that her GRANDMOTHER collected matchbooks and matchbook covers from the late 1930's to the mid 1970's -- she passed away in 1983 and they have been in STORAGE for nearly 50 years NOW!! -- what you see was in Home-Made "Albums" with Plywood Covers -- the "album" was NEARLY 12 inches THICK and contained well over 1000 covers so I'll be working on them for weeks!! -- the "matchbook" covers were mostly "glued" on the pages and some are now coming loose and a couple may be taped (by me) to hold them in place -- you GET what you see and HOPEFULLY all are from the "correct" State and although I did spot check most, some may not be SO you get EXACTLY what you see!!!!! ---- please NOTE that I will SHIP this "LOT" as follows: The "STATE" cover PAGE will be folded in half and I'll carefully cut the pages with the matchbook covers to fit inside about a 5 by 7 envelope -- some "Larger" lots will be shipped "intact" and will be NOTED as such -- also, please NOTE that after 50 YEARS of storage, they smell a bit musty!! -- they are NOT new by any means -- SEE my other auctions and "store" for MANY other "MATCHBOOKS and MATCHBOOK COVERS" and COMBINED SHIPPING available (WHEN possible) to help save on postage costs but WAIT or REQUEST an invoice FROM ME on these LIGHTER ITEMS and you WILL SAVE MONEY on shipping!! -- -- -- --------------- WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE IS WHAT YOU GET (READ listing)!! ++++++++ -- eBay NOW collects your State Sales Tax (IF applicable) **** >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Please ASK all questions prior to bidding as all sales are final.
