Thomas Edison Signed 1923 Typed Letter, Autographed pertaining to the arrangements of Financing for the Brunswick Phonograph.
Amazing Typed letter to Thomas Edison dated April 6th, 1923. From his personal assistant, Hal Starrett pertaining to the creation of financing, for the Brunswick Phonograph. Thomas Edison has replied his thoughts in pencil on the first page & signed “E” at the conclusion. Three further pages are stapled to the first with fine details of the financing plans to offer customers.

“Mr. Edison:
Enclosed you will find a copy of the Brunswick Financial Plan.
Don’t you think that something like this, or better still, our own financing Corporation, like the Singer Sewing Machine Company, is indicated if we are going to go after business intensively in the near future.
This will relieve the dealer of one of his greatest worries, the financing of new business, and I think that we can arrange it on a very much smaller discount than do the banking corporations engaged in that sort of business.

“Starrett- This plan has been used by some of our dealers but there is a fallacy in it + the financing Corporation receives to much profit - at one time we encouraged the plan but no longer- We will find a plan more favorable to the dealer. E. “
