    Planck, Max - German theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, which won him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1918. Nernst, Walther - German chemist known for his work in thermodynamics, physical chemistry, electrochemistry, and solid state physics. He won the 1920 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
    Part of a document signed “Planck” and dated in his hand “12/X.” (1929). Part of a registration book, 5.0 x 1.5 inch, signed in black ink. A second part of a registration book is signed “Nernst” and dated in his hand “12/11 29”. 4.75 x 3.5 inch, signed in black ink. The second part is additional signed by: CARL ZIMMER (1873-1950) - German zoologist specialising in crustaceans, especially the order Cumacea and WILHELM SCHLENK (1879-1943) - German chemist.
    Today Schlenk is remembered mostly for developing techniques to handle air-sensitive compounds and for his invention of the Schlenk flask. And three other unknown persons. Matted in red/ brown to an overall size of 8.0 x 11.5 inch with a glossy photograph in honor of the American Nobel Laureate Robert Andrews Millikan - 12. November 1931 in Berlin.
