This is an original Antique black and white drawing in pen & ink on card featuring a study of an Irish Terrier dog, by the well known English dog artist S.T. Dadd, signed bottom right by the artist, in very good condition, overall size including mat approx. 9" x 8" image size approx. 5" x 4"
This is part of a collection of original drawings by S.T. Dadd and they all date to circa 1895. They have all come from the archives of the famous English / Scottish book publishers "Blackie & Co. Ltd" they where produced for inclusion in an English dog book of the time, similar illustrations by S.T. Dadd can be found in other English dog books including "The Dog" by F.M. Archer, the first edition of which was published in 1904.
