Please note that the original traditional Norwegian Bunads has its roots and design from each county in Norway. They are only handmade for adults and cost somewhere between 3000 to 8000 US dollars. As for children, very few buy the handmade ones as they are also in that price-range.
Usually boys and girls get their original Bunad when they are in their mid-teens and up. This item or any similar item you will find elsewhere for children, are not original Bunads as such. However, nor are they seen as fake or copies. Parents in Norway buy the ones you see here for the 17th of
May, or variations of similar items for their youngest children. These are inspired by the adult bunads and designed in Norway and sold in Norway.
