Description
Here in this listing you have a new, sealed box of Swedish m/38 Mauser charging strips. Anyone familiar with stripper clips/charging strips knows that the Swedish Mauser clips are not only the highest quality example of the stripper clip - being manufactured to the tightest tolerances out of stainless steel and finely polished - but are the stripper clip that can hold, store, and load the largest number of calibers.I personally prefer storing rifle rounds on charging strips/stripper clips, compared to either loose rounds in an ammo can or in the manufacturers' cardboard boxes. Using chargers allows one to open the ammo can and load either the magazines or rifle itself--depending on the design--in multiples of rounds, quickly. There is no better stripper clip for doing this than the Swedish M96/M38.
Due to the 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser cartridge's slightly-wider base than that of most every other full-power rifle round, meaning that these clips will hold essentially every historical and modern rimless caliber, including the .30-06 Springfield, 8x57 Mauser, 7x57 Mauser, 6.5x50SR Arisaka, 7.7x58 Arisaka, 7.5mm French, 7.5x55 Swiss, 7.62x51/.308 Win, 7mm-08 Remington, .243 Winchester, and even 6.5 Creedmoor. It holds these rounds tightly enough that running around with them loaded in a bandolier does not cause the rounds to pop off, but when placed in the clip guide on a rifle or magazine loader, the rounds slide off, usually more easily than with the OEM clips for the rifle/caliber/magazine combo.
I have personally used these in my 1903 Springfields with .30-06, and they work far better than the OEM WWI clips made for the Springfield. While I do not own an M1917, I have used them, and the same holds as true for the M1917 as it does the M1903. Likewise in the MBRs with stripper clip guides on their actions, these load 7.62/.308 into an inserted magazine with ease. Using the various mag loaders available--both OEM and the nylon ones currently produced by Thermold--these load the magazines of virtually all MBRs, not only in 7.62/.308, but 7mm-08, 6.5 Creedmoor, .243 Win, and 6mm Creedmoor.
Seeing as these are new and the most durable, corrosion-resistant, and high-quality stripper clips that have ever been made, these are not only a historical item you will treasure, but a tool of great current tactical use with anyone with either essentially any variety of modern battle rifle, or most historical milsurp bolt actions.
Each listing is for a single box of 40--of which I have four available--and shipping is free!
