Description
Please see the listing photos for condition. These items came together from an estate sale. The dog tag identifies the soldier as Joseph S. Gorman. I could not find any information about his military career. I assume these are World War II items, but not sure. There is one man who is in both of the photos so I believe he is Gorman. The US and crossed rifles pins and the RIFLE / CARBINE badge can clearly be seen in the photo with who I assume are his parents. The photos both measure 4 1/2" x 2 5/8". They have some small creases, scratches, and dings. No writing on the backs, but there are some stamped numbers. Both of the marksmanship badges have STERLING in raised letters on the backs. All of the metal pieces have some small spots and scratches. Some of the gold coloring has worn off of the small US pin. One round US pin and the crossed rifles pin are steel as they stick to a magnet. The other round US pin and the eagle and crossed swords pin do not stick to a magnet so maybe brass. The good conduct medal is probably brass also. I do not know what the ribbon bars signify. One has a small star in the center and WOLF - BROWN CO. on the back. Any information about these items or the soldier would be appreciated.Customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
