LARGE NASA Apollo Saturn V KSC Launch Control Center Countdown Clock End Support
LARGE NASA Apollo Saturn V KSC Launch Control Center Countdown Clock End Support
    * Rare NASA Apollo Launch Control Hardware * Saturn V, Kennedy Space Center, Launch Control Center, Large Countdown Indicator Clock, End Support Segment.
Launch control technicians at the Kennedy Space Center would reference the countdown indicator this artifact came from during the Saturn V Moon Shot Launches.
This segment was designed as a support to aid in holding the decimal readout segments and decimal spacer segments together at the ends of the large launch control countdown indicator panel.
Some of the large countdown clocks were used as launch time indicators in the outdoor areas of the KSC facility.
The complete countdown indicator panel that this segment belonged to was almost five feet long.
It was originally part of the Charles H. Bell, world-class, spaceflight hardware collection.
Charles acquired this ground support equipment when he was commissioned to update the Saturn V, Launch Control Room for the KSC Visitor Center / Museum.
    Approximate dimensions: 7 inches x 4.75 inches x 1 inch.
Make sure to check out the 'Hackaday' site to see spaceflight hardware collector Dr. Patrick Hickey's Apollo Countdown Clock project. After studying the design of the Apollo Countdown Clock components that he purchased here at Space Mission Market, he has been able to reanimate the 7 segment clock components with the use of LED technology creating an impressive Apollo Countdown display. To find his project, go to the Hackaday site and search "NASA Apollo / Saturn V Clock / Countdown Display".
The last two images are for reference only with one showing how the segments connect

We require that all potential buyers read our 'FAQ and Terms of Sale' section, at the bottom of each listing, prior to purchase, offer or bid placement and inquiries.
As the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing is fast approaching, spaceflight missions grow farther reaching and ever bold, while we begin to experience a renaissance of international interest in spaceflight endeavors and technology. Still, only a few know
about the possibility of collecting such historically significant artifacts, as these from the Space Programs, but that is beginning to change, in light of these events.
Over time, spaceflight artifacts are increasingly difficult to acquire and the value of these rare collectibles is very likely to rise dramatically. If you are a collector that is new to the niche of spaceflight hardware and seeking to diversify your portfolio, this is an excellent way to accomplish that with a unique and sound investment. These are heirlooms that will inspire and be admired by many generations to come.
