THAT WAY THEY COULD HAVE TROOPS MOVEMENTS FROM DIFFERENT BASES & FORTS AROUND THE TERRITORY WITHOUT USING THE TRAIN, WHOSE RAILS WERE MUCH CLOSER TO THE COAST.
BY THE EARLY 1950'S THE AMERICAN RAILROAD CO. ,CEASED TO EXIST, ITS TRAINS & WAGONS  BECOMING THE NEWEST ADDITIONS TO OTHER RAILROAD SYSTEMS, SUCH AS VENEZUELA AND COLOMBIA.
