    Autograph note signed by Charles Darwin to T.W. Newton, an assistant librarian at the Geological Museum: “Oct: 1st, With Mr. Darwin’s compliments & sincere thanks.”  Written on personal stationery; measures 5 by 4.75 inches; created in Beckenham, Kent, England in 1875; in fine condition with minor staining, ink smudging, and having been attached to a larger sheet of paper; and authenticated by Newton on the top border, “Mr. Charles Darwin, From Mr. Charles Darwin, Author of ‘The Origin of Species,’ to T.W. Newton.”  Three similar Darwin signatures recently sold for ,897 in August 2016, ,429 in December 2016, and ,001 in January 2020 at RR Auction.
