    Description

Enola Gay B-29 Bomber Dropped Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Japan in WWII V-J Day Stamps MINT Never Hinged!
This is a set of three postage stamps commemorating the dropping of the atomic bomb in World War II. The B-29 Superfortress, The Enola Gay, was piloted by Colonel Paul W. Tibbets, Jr. and targeted Hiroshima, Japan. A second bomb was later dropped on Nagasaki. This led to the surrender of Japan to the Allies in World War II in August of 1945. The "August 1945" self-adhesive stamp was privately produced in 1995 and is not valid for postage. The stamps featuring the "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" atomic bombs
are valid for postage in their issuing country and were printed in the 21st Century. All three stamps are in mint, never hinged condition. They would make an interesting addition to any collection of World War 2 memorabilia, United States or Japanese history stamps. FREE clear plastic protective display holders included! Thanks for looking!
