Fué la 1ra persona en alzar la bandera de la independencia en Lares, y al día de hoy el Boricua que mayor rango político obtuvo en nuestra historia (Presidente por 2 días), desde Agueybaná el Bravo hasta el presente.<br>ESPECIFICACIONES:<br>Set de 2 piezas numismáticas, en adelante llamadas "monedas", de 1 centavo tamaño 16.5mm hecho en aleación de cobre, y 5 centavos, tamaño 18.5mm y hecho en aleación de bronce. Vienen montadas en mica de plástico transparente<br>para protección contra rayaduras. Edicion limitada a 500 mini - medallas numismáticas de cada una de las 2 denominaciones.<br>Las denominaciones son:<br>1c de Albizu, tamaño 16.5mm x 1.2mm, y borde liso<br>5c de Albizu, tamaño 18.5mm x 1.2mm, y borde liso<br>ANVERSO:<br>Las 2 piezas muestran la denominación al centro, bajo una estrella y rodeadas de hojas, sobre la cual se lee la autoridad emisora, y bajo la cual se lee la demoninación de la pieza.<br>REVERSO:<br>Un bello escudo alegórico constituído por un Pitirre sosteniendo una cruz en el pico, un machete en su garra derecha, y una rama de café en la garra izquierda, portando en su pecho el mitológico Sol Taíno. It commemorates the 150th Anniversary of the 1868 Puerto Rican uprising, when Francisco Ramírez Medina, a local plantation owner turned fervent separatist,<br>who in 1868 became (for 2 days) the first and only Puerto Rican ever proclaimed by locals as "President of Puerto Rico", a patriot who proclaimed the historical "Grito de Lares" cry of independence from Spain, and who hoisted the Lares Revolutionary Flag (sewn by freedom fighter Mariana Bracetti) at that town's city hall for the 1st time ever.<br>SPECIFICS:<br>Each set comes with<br>2 "coins", a One Cent of Albizu in Copper clad steel, and a Five Cents of Albizu in Bronze clad Steel, both in Uncirculated finish, and,<br>mounted<br>inside a clear view coin holder to protect against staining, scratches and nicks<br>.
